Ascension is
named for the festival that commemorates the day
Jesus returned to His Father in heaven. It was
the nearest celebration to the day our
congregation was organized. The ascension of
Jesus is especially comforting to us since our
Lord is: preparing a place for us, speaking for
us to the Father, cares for us with His full
divine power, sends Spirit-filled people to
speak the Good News of sins forgiven, and is
preparing to take all believers to be with Him
on the Last Day.
